Our Boat

This is a 7.5 metre Rigid (hulled) Inflatable Boat which, due to the intrinsic safety design characteristics of this type of vessel, is similar to those used by the R.N.L.I. and many other organisations. RIBs are the 4 X 4's of the sea.

It is powered by a 150h.p. Yamaha outboard engine and also has a stand by engine. Depending on conditions, 40 knots is attainable though, except for our "Swansea Bay Experience" we generally cruise at a brisk and comfortable 20-25knots.

There is dedicated seating for 8 people plus seating available for another 2 forward of the steering console. We prefer to limit the number of passengers to 7 adults increasing to 9 persons when a number of them are children.

Adequate water resistant storage space is available for a rucksack sized baggage per person.

The vessel and crew are licensed by the Maritime & Coastguard Agency to operate, up to 20 miles from any safe haven in favourable weather conditions and in daylight.

Subject to sea conditions and time available, while always retaining control of the boat, we are pleased to allow passengers to "take the wheel" to experience how responsive and enjoyable the boat is, to drive.
